This last week Eric has been the greatest little daddy. I must say that moments like today make me so grateful for children. They always bring out the true character in men. I woke up to hear Daxton fussing in his crib through the monitor. I patiently waited for him to settle down and go back to sleep, like he usually does, when all of a sudden I hear "Hey Dax!" I had no idea that Eric had already gotten home from school. So, I relax and lay there... and I listen. At first I thought he was just talking to him, like he sometimes does, but then I realize that he is reading him a story. My heart melted. I could hear him loud and clear through the monitor. Moments like this are so small and seem insignificant to someone who does not have children, but to me, it meant everything in the world. I love moments like this, that help myself remember what this life is all about. It's all about family.
I also captured some cute pics the other day while daddy was "watching" Dax...

Priceless...

What a great post - thanks for sharing - it really is the little moments that make everything worth it. Those pictures of the two of them are ADORABLE!!!
