4 years and counting...

I can't believe that Eric and I just had our 4 YEAR anniversary! I seriously want to know where in the world time goes. It's so crazy to think that 5 years ago I was just barely meeting him for the first time. I feel like I have known Eric my whole life, but yet, it feels like yesterday when we first met. As much fun as it was to date and get to know each other back then, I wouldn't go back. I know, you're probably asking yourself why wouldn't I want to go back, but seriously, I love him more now than ever before. All the trials and things we have gone through have bonded us so strongly that I would never want to go back in time. I am excited for the future, everyday is a new journey. I love it. Even better now that we have our son to share our lives with. Children are a true blessing from the Lord. They humble us and give us such joy and happiness that you can't get from anything else. I feel so blessed to have such a loving husband, he is amazing. I still think to myself sometimes why in the world did I get so darn lucky. I have the most amazing husband. I know that he would do absolutely anything for me, and he shows that everyday of his life. :) I love you sweetie! You are my life, my light, and my love. Forever eternally. Thank you for making the last 5 years of my life, the best five years I have ever had. I love being married to you, you are such a wonderful guy. You exceed all my expectations in all areas of life and I couldn't ask for a better companion. I will love you forever and ever, and then some. I love you BABE!

Eric planned out our whole day on our anniversary. Isn't he romantic!? It turned out to be such a wonderful day; one of the best days ever really. Here is how it went...

First of all, thanks to Zach and Michelle, and Mom and Dad for watching Daxton! It was so nice to have a day with my hubby!

Started out with Eric dropping Dax off to Z's and M's, came home and picked me up, he had gerber daisies for me (some of my favorite flowers), we then got in the car and Eric had our Kenny Chesney cd playing in the car. (Our REAL first date was a Kenny Chesney concert) and off we went to Five Guys burger and fries... it was great food; Eric and I had never been. After lunch we went to Thanksgiving Point to see the tulip festival. It was absolutely gorgeous! The flowers were beautiful. Every color of the rainbow, just magnificent. Everywhere we looked it was just beautiful! I seriously wish that I had pictures to show... :( I erased them trying to download them into the computer.... :( :( :( ALL OF THEM... I am so sad. Eric says we can go back and retrace our footsteps on Wednesday so that we can get some really nice pictures again, so hopefully we will be able to do that, and I can post some pics...

After the tulip festival we went to go watch the sunset up at our "spot". There is a huge rock up at the South Mountain Golf Course, which over looks the valley. This is where Eric and I had our first kiss. CHEESE ;) I have loved going up to that area for such a long time. It is such a relaxing place for me. You can see the entire valley and at night it is breathtaking. So we sat up there and watched the sun go down. It was really nice to relax and just be with my hubby. So nice.

After the sunset it was off to dinner. He took me to Mimi's Cafe in Sandy. Eric used to work there as a waiter while we were dating (which meant that I was there constantly!) . We had plenty of meals there before we got married, and it was a frequent date night for us after he quit. December 4, 2004 Eric took me to Mimi's for a regular date night and asked me to marry him. I can still remember how I felt that night. So excited, so happy, and so in love. Mimi's was fun, Eric and I reminissed about our dating days and our engagement night. Our server also brought us the "mousse pie" that Eric "ordered" the night of our engagement. Come to find out that the "mousse pie" was actually the ring in the ring box :) I think the mousse pie was better back then. :) We then went home and watched our wedding video, remebering how skinny we were and how great we looked... sad how time changes your perfect frame... We had to laugh at the part where Eric sang to me. Kills Eric every year to have to watch it. lol. I think it's adorable that he had the guts to sing in front of 100 poeple just for me. It's too cute! The day turned out great, and I am looking forward to all the years to come, it seems like every year it gets better and better. Thanks to Eric for planning such a wonderful day! It was perfect.
